Responsibilities:
As the first UI Engineer to join the UX Team, you will have the chance to really own and shape the role.
Take ownership of all front-end and coding aspects of the DoiT Design System and help us continue to develop and refine our best practices.
Develop reusable React components that adhere to MUI best practices with a focus on accessibility, usability and responsive design.
Collaborate with UX Designers and Engineers.
Create and own the Design system roadmap, as well as lead the adoption of it within DoiT.
Requirements:
3+ years experience with React, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, Material UI, WCAG, and web usability
Experience building responsive layouts
Experienced with the creation and maintenance of Design Systems using Storybook
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to influence and educate peers and stakeholders
Be a proactive self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and help to ensure that excellent customer experience remains a primary area of competitive differentiation
Have a basic knowledge of Figma and Jira tooling
Be able to demonstrate a deep understanding and appreciation of UX principles
Be curious, eager to learn, quick to ask questions, and keen to develop and expand their existing professional competencies
