Your Role and Responsibilities
System Administration: administering and Managing mainframe operating systems, such as IBM z/OS, ensuring they run efficiently and securely.
Software Installation and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications and utilities on the mainframe system, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing optimizations to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.
Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the mainframe system from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues and system errors, either independently or in collaboration with other IT personnel or vendors.
